Skills, Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications:
Experience and Skill Set Requirements
Desirable Skills:
· Demonstrated ability to work independently
· Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with the project team to meet goals and objectives
· Knowledge of MNRF-AFFES division service offerings
Software development – 30%
· 10+ years of programming and development experience in Java
· Development tools with emphasis on technical skills listed below
Data Analysis and Design – 25%
· Experience conceiving, reviewing, and implementing design changes
· Experience analyzing data records, diagnosing, and resolving issues
Technical – 30%
· Demonstrated experience developing Java applications based on:
o Liberty
o Spring
o JPA2.1 implementations, e.g. Hibernate 3.6, Eclipse Link 2.5 etc.,
o JAX-RS 2.0, JDBC 4.1
o Windows Exchange Web Services (EWS) API
o Websocket 1.1
o Angular JS
· Demonstrated experience with Oracle database
o Developing database scripts
o Database design
o Data modelling
Accessibility – 10%
· Experience developing and designing intuitive, simple to use interfaces
· Experience developing and coding web UI components that are compliant with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disability Act (WCAG 2.0 LEVEL AA)
Public Sector Experience – 5%
· Experience working with the OPS with a track record of delivering value
